- the over-booked restaurants where you will be sitting table-to-table with the other couples and eaves-dropping on other lovers conversations or
- paying for an over-priced valentine menu
So, Alex decided that we take a 3D2N break to Penang this weekend and the trip is my Valentine's present from him :) *sweet*
We've booked Northam Suites and will be heading there for a relaxing weekend.
Can't wait for the trip :)
On another note, I did have a nice weekend :) With all the lovey-dovey couples at the mall, not one person was sulking that beautiful Valentine's Day. Cupid did a very good job this year.
Alex and I went for lunch at Manhattan's and then headed to 1Utama to catch a movie - Valkyrie. The cinema was 90% couple-filled :) The movie was so-so la.. lotsa talking and kinda slow at the beginning. After awhile, you'll go with the slow-flow.
After movie, we went down to KL to meet Axton and Brenda for dinner at Jalan Alor. We had grilled fish, tom yum soup, sweet sour pork, chicken wings, carrot cake, fried kuey teow ( i think that was all) and drinks. Only Axton & Alex had rice with the food, Brenda and myself just eat the food and that was enough to fill us.
After eating, we chit-chatted and decided to go for massage at Wisma Bukit Bintang. The place was very nice, clean and decent looking. We did full body massage @ 45minutes for RM52. It was good :) Felt so much more relaxed after the massage. They gave each of us a plate of fruits and a drink which i think its fruit juice.
After the massage, we took a walk along Jalan Bukit Bintang and then headed towards Pavilion. We walked that bar street at Pavilion and stopped at La Bodega for a drink before heading home in the terrible jam in KL.
It was indeed a good Valentine's Day :) Affordable and most importantly well spent with my dearest and good frens :)
